About the club

Waltham Abbey is a historic and beautiful town in the county of Essex at the very far North of London.

The folk club meets every Monday in the Royal British Legion in Brooker Road, EN9 1HY at 8:30pm

We're a small and friendly club who run singarounds most weekswith a special guest evening about once every month.

Past guests have included Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer, BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Duo nominees Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman and the electrifying Mawkin.

On singaround evenings everybody is welcome to chip in with a song, tune, poem, monologue or anything else you'd like to share with an appreciative audience - or you can just watch the performances and join in with the choruses if you prefer. We welcome traditional, contemporary and original material. The bar is very reasonably priced and serves excellent local ale.

Entrance is only £1.50 on a singaround evening rising to around £5 on guest nights.

Waltham Abbey Folk Club Is Now A 'no Smoking' Club, But You Are Welcome To Smoke In The Bar
